Yam fry or elephant foot yam fry is a delicious Indian spicy dish which can be served as a side dish. Let's see how to prepare this spicy dish.

- Take 2 teaspoon coconut oil in a pan and fry the dried red chillies. Allow it to cool for few minutes.
- Then grind these chillies with garlic cloves, ginger, turmeric powder, salt, small onion, fenugreek, rice powder and little amount of water (to make paste).
- Take a bowl and mix the yam pieces with grinded paste, curry leaves and fennel seeds (check for the salt). Marinate it for 10-15 minutes.
- Then heat the pan and add required oil to fry. Fry the marinated yam until it becomes golden brown.
- Serve the spicy yam fry with chapati or rice.
