Ginger cookies

Ingredients

White flour                           - 2 cups

    Dry ginger powder               - 2 tsp
      Sugar                                     - 1 cup
        Salt-less butter                       - 3/4 cup
          Eggs                                        - 1
            Cloves (powdered)                 - 1/2 tsp
              Cinnamon (powdered)           - 3/4 tsp
                Baking soda                             - 1 tsp
                  Jaggery (melted and strained) - 3/4 cup
                    Water                                        - Sufficient amount
                      Salt                                           - 1/4 tsp
                        Preparation
                        • Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 
                        • Sift the white flour, ginger powder, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda and salt and keep aside.
                        • Combine the butter and sugar to a smooth paste. Beat in the eggs. Mix in the water and jaggery and slowly fold in the white flour. 
                        • Wrap the dough in a plastic wrap and keep aside for 30 minutes. 
                        • Roll out walnut-sized balls from the dough and coat them with sugar. 
                        • Arrange on the baking sheet spaced 2 inches away and lightly flatten the balls. Bake 12-15 minutes.
